Yesterday was my first official day of no longer being a college student. I am supposed to graduate next weekend, until then I only have a few photo shoots booked and a couple of days off. I had originally planned on taking my dog Rylee to the dog beach, but ended up opting out of that!and wanted to take both of my dogs to do something fun. So we headed to one of our favorite lakes, Lake Elsinore. I have only been there once before with them and the lake was still quite dirty but on the mend of being cleaner. If you don't know, Lake Elsinore has a reputation of being a very dirty lake, due to people carelessly throwing and leaving their trash around the lake edges. For a long time it wasn't really allowed for people to swim or fish in it, but now it's begun to heal, and thanks to the large amount of rain we've had in the beginning of the year it's now turning into a healthy lake again. Both my dogs love coming here, especially Lenox, he grew up around lakes and we brought him everywhere we went! When we would go out on the boat, any beach we went to, anytime we go to any lake or river he feels right at home. Yesterday we decided to go to our spot we went to last time since it was such a nice spot for us before, but when we got there unfortunately there wasn't much beach left because of the rain, but also there were other people there and a few stray dogs that were continuously charging us. Not really feeling safe, I decided to pack up the dogs and try and find a different spot for us. After driving around the lake and finding the park recreation area for the lake I got some more information. It's $10 to park at the park recreation spot for the day but the lady, being very sweet, directing me to a private beach where hardly anyone goes because no one really knows about it unless you're local. So we are back in the car and headed that way. I'm extremely happy that we were able to find this place because it was the perfect spot aside from a few fisherman to right side of the beach, but the rest of it we had all to ourselves. Both dogs were able to run around off leash, chase ducks, and enjoy swimming and retrieving their favorite tennis ball. I will definitely be going back to this spot from now on and actually plan on going next week for a kayaking trip!
